Experience the sites and history of Hereford starting from the North Porch (main entrance) of the Cathedral. You will visit the site of the medieval castle and see Hereford’s interesting and historic buildings, hear about the history of the city through the ages from Saxon times, its role in the Civil War and its famous people and learn about Dan the dog!

Each walk will be led by a trained volunteer member of the Guild of Guides and is approximately one and a half hours duration. Start time is 11.30am except on Sundays when it is 2.30pm.

You will need to purchase a ticket from the Cathedral shop prior to joining the walk (but on Sundays from the guide, not the shop. Cash only, as the Guide cannot accept card payments.) The charge is £6 per adult, £1 for accompanied children aged 6 – 12.

Please note that we can only allow Assistance Dogs on our walks.
