Our Summer Concert opens with a new piece of music commissioned by and dedicated to Hereford Symphony Orchestra, and written by a local composer, Robert Peate. Robert was born in Hereford and still lives close by, in Herefordshire’s Golden Valley. A short symphonic poem for orchestra entitled To The Wye encompasses the colours and sounds of our idyllic county.

The great Greig Piano Concerto in A Minor is performed by Robert Markham.

Tchaikovsky Symphony No 5 in E Minor.
