Hereford city centre Christmas event CANCELLED due to weather concerns

An alpine ski-lift experience was due to be held in High Town today (December 21), and on Sunday.

The event, organised by Hereford City Life, previously ran on Wednesday, December 11.

Due to the unfortunate weather forecast, organisers announced today that the remaining two days of the festive experience had been cancelled.

A post on Hereford City Life’s Facebook page said: “We are very sorry to announce that we have had to cancel the last two days of the Alpine Ski-lift experience in High Town on Sat 21st and Sun 22nd Dec.

“Merry Christmas Hereford.”

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind in Herefordshire, which is expected to come into effect at midnight.

The weather warning is likely to stay in place until 9pm that day.

According to the Met Office, the county is likely to see a “prolonged period” of strong winds, which will likely lead to some disruption over the weekend, especially to travel.
